JOHN POLLOCK AND THE 5TH WHEEL

i took a stroll in ateneo today, right after starbux...didn't feel like going home right away after studying. i figured i had time for a quick stroll, relax and think. i didn't park my car in pollock this time because well...i was in the mood for some serious contemplating and the i think the "old sea legs" needed a little stretching since i've been sitting for hours. the night air did me good, i felt good for some reason maybe it was because i saw alice dixon in starbux (god, she's even prettier now than she was before) hahaha. Posted by Hello

anyway, going back to pollock, i really missed this place. i was here just yesterday but for some reason today was different. i don't know if it was the air, my clothes (i was wearing a red batik my sister bought me and my favorite shirt (my rockheads international shirt) or maybe it was simply because i was feeling great. plain and simple. i don't know why, but i just felt great. and i probably don't want to...at least not just yet. baka knowing just might spoil this great mood i'm in.

i was at my spot, staring at the city lights as thoughts freely moved within the synapses of my brain. sayang lang i didn't get to take a picture, actually i tried pero wala talaga lumabas ang labo nga e. i was thinking about a lot of things...i was thinking about school, my future, the story i'm currently writting (which by the way has very interesting developments, i'll share it one of these days) and as usual the hopeless romantic inside of me can't stop thinking about love, love as in a general sense. i was wasn't thinking about it in a particular context, more of like how does it work in a diverse and contemporary setting such as ours.

i was thinking about this show i saw while i was in the gym. i was watching 5th wheel in between sets (pumping iron and watching a reality based show on the perversions and "realities" of dating...not a pretty sight). anyway, in today's episode one guy was a cocky hockey player who thinks he's hot stuff while the other was a "nice guy" latino. as the show started one of the girls commented that the latino (mr. nice guy) was just not their type because well...he was nice. there's this age old mythos that girls always go for the proverbial "bad boy". i always believed that nice guys may finish last but they always get the last laugh. but looking at the run ins i've had with love, i was beginning to think that maybe nice guys do finish last. but my thoughts were soon proven wrong. it was as though this day was specifically orchestrated to be an answer. the unexpected happened. it was like seeing the detroit pistons beating the crap out of the heavily favored lakers. it was like seeing ant-man bitch slapping galactus! Yes my friends, as you might have guessed, the girls picked the "nice guy"!!! YEAH BABY!!! it was a victory for every nice guy stepped on by love. it was a symbol that in this dog eat dog society, people like our latino casanova has what it takes to give anyone a run for his money. but most of all it was a sign for yours truly. a sign that perhaps eventhough life is filled with green goblins, flash thompsons and public scrutiny...its going to be alright.

well my dear peter parker... maybe life isn't so bad, you know? and i do hope that the good guys do finish last because really, good people deserve happy endings.... hmmmm... do you think that being hopeful will carry us "good guys" through heartaches?... but imagine how high the probability it is to fall on your butt every god damn time you fall in love... yikes. the travails of love. wahahaha...

hehehe... well, as i would like to think... for all the good guys (like yourself) and for all the good girls (like me) that are out there... someone will fucking get it right someday...

    Excelsior!!!

Well, my friendly neighborhood pal, it's me again, Nowhere Man!!! Yes, I have the incredible abilities of... Nowhere!!! Huh?

Anyway, it's been a cheery day for me since I am once again able to surf through the web... (as much as I'd like to swing through it like you do). Anyway, I just dropped in to see how you are. And by the looks of it you're OK! That's a good sign! That means that Doctor Doom hasn't pummelled you with his specially-formulated death spray (I just got word from Latveria that he's planning some sort of holiday, and you know what it's like for him on a good day...)

Aaaanyway, don't believe in that old adage that Nice guys finish last. That's total BS. What you should believe in is that Nice Guys get the best girls because the best girls are the ones worth waiting every single minute for. And they don't finish last. Losers finish last; nice guys win Big-Time. You're a hero, pal, you're my hero, and that means you're already a winner. :)

We need super-villains, old buddy, even if just to show everyone else how extremely good we are, and how much we deserve to be loved and respected. Because we take care of others. As for me, well, my old arch-nemesis the Tax Man has taxed me again, and since my power is making nowhere plans for nobody, well, go figure.

    Until our next super-hero mixer.

Your faithful sidekick (at least in reality),
    Nowhere Man
